Now here’s a piece of news that is surely going to sweep the ground beneath your feet. Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Roshan, one of the most ideal and hottest couple in Bollywood has decided to separate.
Saddening, but it’s true!
Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan Roshan, who have been married for 13 long years and had been in a relationship for over 17 years, are ending their marriage and parting ways.
After months and months of speculation about the couple being separate, the final confirmation came from Krissh himself. Hrithik issued a terse statement which read as:
Sussanne has decided to separate from me and end our 17-year relationship. This is a very tiring time for the entire family and I request the media and the people to grant us our privacy at this time.
I do not wish this news to disempower my fans and the people about the institution of marriage in any way. I am a firm believer in this institution and respect and honour it at the highest level.
I thank my fans for all the concern and prayers for my health. My treatment is going fine. I should be able to resume my life in every way very soon.
While this has come as a complete blow for his loyal fans who always vouched for their favorite star’s marriage, insiders reveal that a separation was bound to happen. Hrithik and Sussanne have been missed being spotted together since long. They had not made any public appearances in the past few months and it was rumored strongly that the once-inseparable-lovers have been living separately.
Some reports also suggest that the couple had separated even before the release of ‘Krrish 3’ but the makers maintained it as a secret as they didn’t want any negative publicity of their most ambitious project. Sussane’s absence from the promotional events was understated, saying she is at her sickly father’s place. But no, she wasn’t at her father’s place but in her own flat.
Her brief appearance at Papa Roshan’s birthday had raised many eyebrows too.
Reasons ranging from numerous affairs by both husband and wife to a boredom slipping into the marriage was doing the rounds since long. While some Sussane to be a workaholic, some blame the superstar husband to be too committed to his career . “Their marriage had serious issues. It was just not working anymore,” comments a close friend of the couple.

While Papa Hrithik was spending considerable time with his kids post his brain surgery, Mumma Sussanne didn’t company them. The kids were juggling between their fighting parents.

The actor, who had been suffering bouts of headaches, recently spoke his heart. He wrote on his official Facebook page, “This is my greatest tribute to love. Sussane is, and will always be the love of my life for the rest of my life. If her smiles are brighter without me, my love for her must accomplish that. Unconditional.”
What has Sussanne have to say about all this?
“We are two individuals who respect and care for each other and have made our own individual choices,” assured Sussanne, the daughter of veteran actor Sanjay Khan.
“We are parents to two wonderful kids and our responsibility remains to protect and take care of them. Nothing can change that,” said the lady on a positive note. Like her husband, she requested for some privacy at this hour of distress, “I would appreciate if we are given our privacy in such a time”. Thank you for your warmth and concern for both of us and the family.”
What was the family members have to say about it?
Sussanne’s father, veteran actor Sanjay Khan, has refused to call this a ‘closure’. He said, “Like any other normal couple they also have some issues. Just because Hrithik is a superstar, doesn’t mean he will not have personal issues. They both are intelligent and wonderful people. It’s just that they need space. Of course this is not a closure.”
He added, “They respect each other. To resolve issues, may be this is what they thought was good.”
Hrithik is currently undergoing treatment for his recurring headaches in LA and we really hope that he overcomes this debacle and resumes life soon.
